If you have a squidgy tomato in the fridge that you are to throw out you will think twice when your plant growing knowledge is enhanced. Cut the tomato in 4 and put a quarter in 4 little plant pots. Leave them on your brightest windowsill watering them slightly every other day and watch them grow. Before you know it, each plant will start growing quite high as each of the tomato seeds have grown into a plant with about 30 tomatoes on. If we say that the squidgy tomato you were about to throw out contains 100 seeds you now have about 3000 fresh home-grown tomatoes. A kilo of tomatoes will cost you about £1.80 in England. There are 6-10 tomatoes in a kilo. If you sold these at a cheaper price, for example £1.50 a kilo you would make over £500 from a tomato that you were about to throw out! You will need to re-pot each plant as it grows bigger.
You can now have a never-ending supply of tomatoes to sell all year round and so the plant cycle continues along with your profits.
So, you can see how easy it is to grow something from nothing almost and create wealth along with creating spectacular gardens for yourself and producing your own food.
Take Control
You decide what you would like to grow for profit. Think about the space that you have in your garden or windowsills. Get the children involved in growing the plants too so they can learn how to grow their own produce and teach them how it can be valuable financially too. Make a start by using the internet or free eBooks until you come across some glossy page physical gardening books and use cuttings from the plants in your own garden or from public parks. Look in your fridge and see what you can start using. If it contains seeds replant it don’t bin it. Start with nothing and see how much you can make. You will be very surprised. Start looking at it as money in the bank. Your initial payment from sales may take a few weeks until they start to grow but once you start you will have a continuous supply which means a continuous supply of money.
